Effect of Educational Interventions Regarding Home Accidents Among Children Under Age of Six on Mothers in Rural Areas

Annually, home accidents are the major reason for causing millions of children’s permanent disabling. The study aim to evaluate effect educational interventions regarding among children under age six on mothers in rural areas. Research Design: A quasi-experimental design was used. Setting: present conducted at Shaybah, Zagazig City, Sharkia Governorate. Subjects: 119 were recruited from previous location. included three tools: Tool I. questionnaire sheet two parts, personal characteristics mothers and mother's information about between children. Tool II. An observational checklist used determine self-reported mothers’ practices first aid of accidents. III. It is intended assess mothers' attitudes preventing child injuries home. Results: The total satisfactory knowledge increased 16% pre-intervention 99.2% immediately post-intervention. The whole adequate practice 16.8% 89.1% post-intervention. Additionally, highly statistically significant differences between their attitude toward accident prevention throughout intervention phases (p < 0.001). Conclusion: Current research results provided evidence that after applying intervention with less than years areas, improved knowledge, and accidents for all changes 0.001). Recommendations: Mothers should receive supportive techniques strategies if six.
